Eff Resolutions

Can you feel it, babe? The pull of New Year’s energy riiiiiiiight around the corner?? It feels so...seductive. And exciting. There’s just so much possibility in the air. Well, possibility and pressure. And expectation. It can feel like we need to make every life change -- large and small -- that we’ve ever even considered, all at once.

The clean slate promise of the New Year is a double-edged sword, especially for us perfectionists and recovering perfectionists, but there is a way, an Eff Perfect way, to approach resolutions that’s more heart-centered + internally driven. Say goodbye to comparison + external benchmarks, and choose to experiment, try things on, and give yourself permission to change your mind.

MFTP Episode 8: Eff Resolutions

New Year’s Resolutions, when done in a perfectionistic, shame-filled way, are based on the premise that we’re not enough as we are and that we have to change in really big ways in order to earn our worthiness.
— Jenna
You are whole and worthy right here as you are. Nothing about you needs to be fixed.
— Ashley
You don’t have to do anything to earn your worthiness. Worthiness is your birthright. You were born worthy. Nothing will change that, certainly not a New Year’s Resolution or losing 10 pounds or going to the gym 5 days a week.
— Jenna
Give yourself the grace to let go of the outcomes.
— Ashley
